Jun. 28th, 2004 10:01 amOh my. This just came in over my e-mail:
Peter Jurasik, well known TV lead character actor from Hill Street Blues
and Babylon 5, will teach a master acting class for advanced teens and
adults. Classes are on 4 consecutive Sunday evenings, 7-9 PM from July
11-August , 2004 at HJT. The fee is $200. Students will work on scenes
and monologues. Mr. Jurasik is in residence at HJT this summer where he
will play the lead role in The Arkansaw Bear.
(HJT is out on the Cape...Yarmouth, I think.)
I dunno. Even if the timing worked out, I think I'd be too twitterpated. And I just know he'd have me get up to do a serious scene, probably something Eastern European and full of angst and gloom, and I'd hear myself blurting out "I based my first and best vampire character on your performance in Season 2!"

I am such the fan. I don't at all blame you for the twitterpation.

Date: 2004-06-28 07:53 am (UTC)Nothing like having one of your favorite stars finding your stash of pictures and wondering if you're a psycho stalker or something...though I'll never forget Kevin Bacon's line from an episode of Will & Grace I saw once:
"Brad Pitt told me once that you know you're a hasbeen when no one even stalks you anymore..."

Date: 2004-06-28 09:05 am (UTC)Most of the useful information I get comes from Stagesource and their weekly e-mail listing of area goings-on. There's a yearly membership fee, but it's been worth it: www.stagesource.org
Another good place to look is the classifieds section of www.newenglandfilms.com -- I've seen everything there from casting agencies needing thousands of extras to struggling art students needing someone to play a zombie. (And the occasional insane 'pay me thousands of dollars and I'll teach you to be a good Christian street performer' post.)

And I love you just for saying that you based your first and best vampire character on that

Date: 2004-06-28 08:16 am (UTC)I'd be useless, I'd spend the whole time trying not to yell out "You moon faced assassin of joy!" or something and getting tossed out.

Date: 2004-06-28 01:03 pm (UTC)I can't, and therefore you must!
Heck, it can't get any worse than trying to explain to Patrick Stewart what it means to bibble while appologizing for bibbling.
