Little notes:

The baby pigeons have left the nest and are wandering around the ledge. The big development so far is that they've learned to flutter enough to get over the drainage pipe that was acting as a sort of 'baby gate' that kept them away from Mom's usual hangout.

Oh, and when she brings them food they do this thing with their wings I've never seen before--they stick them straight up in the air over their heads and vibrate them excitedly. It's the bird version of Jazz Hands.

I've been poking around at a PS2 game I rented, 'Champions of Norrath'--there's only so much I can do, though, because in order to save a game you need 8.5 MB, and my memory card holds 8MB total. Whee. Not that it's that interesting--it's a fairly unimaginative 'orcs are overrunning a forest just because they can' game with some pretty graphics. The one odd part is that the coders made it so that any NPC or monster who gets too close to a torch or campfire catches fire and runs around in a panic. How do I know? Because they do this ALL THE TIME. Goblins, elves, makes no difference. It's like the whole forest is populated by Gilligan.

Baby pigeons!

My tolerance for stupid AI only goes so far. Of course, so does my tolerance for when the computer is CHEATING in a boss fight. G'rrr. :) AIs should be neither too stupid or pseudo-telepathic.

Other Rose

If you like setting people on fire...

May I suggest a classic, Postal? You play a man who has gone nuts and believes aliens are taking over the world, and pack up all your weapons to go on a killing spree. Fun!

One of the levels has a marching band that comes by in a parade, and it's quite satisfying to light them all with the flame thrower and watch them run around screaming. ;)

MWHAHAHAH!

The best "setting people on fire" game ever was Syndicate. Ah, their little flailing agonies, their little screams.

I like Champions of Norrath quite a bit, but it's much better when played co-op. Can you coax D into joining you in the battle against orcs and campfires?
