Orange-flavored vodka is very strange, and I'm still a little dubious about flavoring my chocolate with it. We'll see how it tastes after it chills. If I'm still unhappy tomorrow morning, I'll just have to scrap the batch and whip up some raspberry-filled dark chocolates.
I know, the horror, the horror.
So, things in brief.
The sound of a tree falling onto my house: strangely like a very big plastic trash can being scraped down the sidewalk. Only with the house shaking. Which happens with very few trash cans.
The sound of the city's woodchipper at work at frelling MIDNIGHT: appalling. But the sight of the car of the neighbor-who-we-don't-like-very-much covered in wood chips this morning? Priceless.
The 'Decemberists' concert: Really, really good. They're like a strange cross between Reverend Glasseye and They Might be Giants. It was one of those concerts where everyone 6'2" and over in the city all seemed to decide to go and stand in front of us, but Deb, being a genius, found us a place to stand on couches in the balcony so that we had a good view, and cushiony things to lean against, too! And have I mentioned the band was very good? They were. If you only listen to one band use words like 'laudanum' and 'bagatelle' in their lyrics this year, make it The Decemberists.
This weekend: Chocolate sales at the benefit! Buffy sing-a-long! Performing some damn fine interactive comedy* at a faire on Saturday! Big gap after that until the Phoenix practice! Big big gap after that until work begins again on Tuesday! (I should work on filling in those gaps).
Right now: bed!

Chocolaaaaaaaaate
Date: 2005-05-27 02:49 am (UTC)... For some reason nearly every time I go to a concert some tall fat hicks corner me and squish me/stand in front of me. Even at shows were it makes no sense whatsoever for fat hicks to be at. *shrug*

Date: 2005-05-27 03:10 am (UTC)i wish they'd played more deep cuts from their catalouge, and that they hadn't done the wretched, awful "song for myla goldberg". aside from that, it was amazing.

It's a little bit from Tam Lin, but mainly from a diminutive of my name (Pamela) that emerged over the past year.
