oakenguyWell, whew. The final batch of truffles for shipping out, and for tomorrow's wedding, are done. DONE. I think I'm finally sick of chocolate. (It was trying to be all fancy and give the white chocolates a hard outer shell of dark that did me in. Fork dipping, my sweet...)

audioboy is going to be directing as a live radio play for a fundraiser in October. Now see, even the title is satisfying. This isn't any ol' "Night of the Iguana" or "American Buffalo" where you might excitedly buy a ticket looking forward to the rampaging lizard or bison, and then be heartbroken at the total lack of a stampede. No no, this play doesn't use a chicken heart as a symbol of middle-class alienation; if you go in hoping to see (well, hear) a chicken heart, then by god you're going to get your money's worth.
The main scientist is German, which means I've been reading the whole thing imaginingchalkhorsegirl doing it in her Matilda accent. Which just makes it that much better.
Lessee...what else...I just realized with a little horror that the mental image I have for the Changeling character I'm creating is in fact Junior Soprano. I need pirate shoes. And while I was at the arts & crafts store in their bridal section I found a tiny parasol that I think I'm going to need to build either my halloween costume or a clown act around. Maybe both.
