Jan. 13th, 2003 10:09 amFun, fun weekend. I'm still achy from Saturday's improv class, where I fell down five times and took part in a supermarket scene as Lost Toddler On a Sugar High. (Which was popular, though two of the other students thought I was portraying a monkey. Have to work on that.)
Sunday morning D and I scouting for new breakfast places and, ye gods, we hit the jackpot. It's The Neighborhood Diner in Union Square. It doesn't look like anything from the outside, but you go in and in seconds they're brought your complimentary coffee and juice and asked whether you'd like the complimentary fruit cup or cream of wheat. And after they've brought that, they bring you the complimentary platter of breakfast pastries (which includes Portuguese fried dough). And *then* your meal arrives.
It's been over 24 hours and I'm STILL not hungry.

Date: 2003-01-13 11:10 am (UTC)Another good place, in between Davis and Teele, is Renee's Diner on Holland Street. I've been trying for years to make pancakes as good as theirs, and still haven't been able to.
We-all should go sometime!
