Oct. 31st, 2005 09:16 amI've never seen a streetlight get knocked over before. It fell like how I'd imagine a dying giraffe would--wobbly, the top going to the left while the middle bowed and went right, before it all came crashing down.
I was too far away to see the collision that caused it. I thought it might be a construction project until I got closer and saw the SUV and the sedan it had rear-ended. No one was hurt but wow, the debris.
Between that and signing up for NaNoWriMo, it's been an exciting morning so far.

I know the feeling. I've taken a completely different approach this year, and I feel way better prepared. As my title, _Assorted Sundries_, implies, it's a mixture of stuff, so I don't feel as tied down to a plot (which is totally what killed me last year). I'm shooting for an assortment of short stories, some fiction, some non-fiction, which will help with any storyline attention span issues I might have, and let me turn to real-life experience when I need to just keep writing.
Can't wait to read excerpts from your fantasy/chick lit crossover (with spies, of course). Will there be ninjas? ;D
