I had a time travel dream last night that actually had a pretty coherent plotline! I love dreams like that, especially ones that give me little surprises. At one point I was living in an abandoned building in a big room that had no entrance or exit because the staircase had rotted away, but it was no problem--whenever I wanted to leave I just travelled back ten years to when the staircase had existed. Time travel as low-rent teleportation. Gotta love it.

In my dream time travel had been perfected by some MIT students who, rather than get rich off it or give it to the government, had shared it locally with their peers. There were about 30 of us, all living on this boat, going off on different jaunts. And then I came back from one (a trip to WWII to watch Patton's first encounter with the British Army generals ((and of all the possible choices, why that one? I have NO IDEA)), and the boat was abandoned and ransacked--the government had swooped in while I was gone and confiscated all the equipment. But they hadn't found the pocket dimension the *really* smart folks had created, where they had refined the time travel process so that instead of bulky equipment, you just needed to swallow a lozenge.

*poke*

Call me sometime tomorrow night, maybe we can meet up. We are going to have dinner at Whiskey's and then wander over to the Poor House and then up either the orange line or the red line

Otherwise, dancing or dinner next week sometime? Mayhaps at my place?

My goodness! I love reading about your dreams. I dream like that too. My dreams are usually cohearent and more often than not, make complete sense. (at least, at the time I have them they do)

Happy New Year! I miss you.

Those are some inspired dreams. I think you have the bones of a story there.

Oh, great dream. And of course it was better to travel back 10 years in time to when the staircase existed than actually rebuild it. I love dream logic.

And totally unrelated to that I have started thinking about my morning hair as [livejournal.com profile] oakenguy-hair.
So when I look it the mirror in the morning and watch my fringe (or do you call it bangs? I can't remember which is UK and which is US) stand up just like your does in the icon I think Oh, [livejournal.com profile] oakenguy-hairdo!

Mmm, lozenges...

So long as it wasn't a suppository, we're good. XP
