Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] fightguy and [livejournal.com profile] aberdeen!

And now, for part 2 of the Critters in My Neighborhood picture series....more chickens!

Well, kinda. Pictured are The Daredevil Chicken Club, trying to make their assistant 'fly'. This Saturday Quincy Market had the annual auditions for variety performers....a lot of magicians, a lot of jugglers, and a few folks like the Chickens who were harder to classify. (They do acrobatics and comedy mostly; they also do a trick where they spit chunks of banana back and forth into each others' mouths which I did NOT get a picture of because, eww.)

Also on hand were these living statues, who'd made the trek up from Rhode Island:

They left about 30 seconds after that pic was taken, which was at 11AM...I hope it was because they had other places they needed to be, and not just because it was too cold for them.

I worry about things like that, yes.

Hey, I recognize those statue folk! From time to time they do their thing at King Richard's Faire... and I swear I've seen that tree around before.... but not at a fair.

The Daredevil chickens look like fun - but yeah, the banana thing? As if bananas didn't get mushy enough, yah know?

The Daredevil Chicken Club also perform at KRF. Although Svetlana (you can call me Svetty) was a solo sct, this year.

I think I'd be more concerned if a statue had other places it needed to be.

You know, I could totally picture you doing that? You've got the perfect profile for it.

Really?! I think that's the nicest thing someone has said to me recently. So what type of statue could you see me as? :)

Hee!

Greco-Roman, definitely. A marble statue, or...ooo...bronze. Bronze would look *great*. :)

It appears the chicken duo have action flexes - perhaps they are misplaced larpers?
