Erg. Back hurts.

Last night both household cell phones took a little swim in the washing machine, an event just a wee bit cathartic for someone as phone-phobic as I am. (It was my year working in a telephone survey sweatshop, I swear. Now whenever I hold a phone part of me still thinks I'm about to ask a total stranger to spend a half hour answering 143 questions about laundry soap.)

So, for the next ten days or so I'll be harder to reach than I usually am. (But just a little--see above paragraph, re: 'phone-phobic').

Worst of all? I just downloaded a ringtone. Might as well've ground that three dollars up into little oregano-sized flakes, baked them inside a loaf of bread, and fed them to the geese.

I've washed my cell phone before! Man, I felt dumb. I'd just bought a new faceplate for it and everything. It had tons of downloads on it. After that, it just wasn't worth the effort. I downscaled ;)

As for the ringtone...who's your provider? If it's Verizon, call them and they will more than likely credit that download back to your account. They've done it for us before.

I'm glad I'm not the only phone-phobe out there in the world. My inner phone-fearing-bits cheer that they got laundered, though my rational side is sad that it'll mean you lost the ringtone and such
