Ugh.
Even if the car *wasn't* frozen into the ice, this weather would be putting me in full-blown hermit mode.
As it is, though, yiminy. I feel like I should by all rights have a beard down to my knees and a manual typewriter with a half-finished letter to the New York Times about how the ban on trans fats is a plot by the New World Order and the Jesuits.
(Of course, having a clunky old computer that just Will Not RUN a $9.99, three year old game is almost as good. My bad--if it couldn't run World of Warcraft, why did I think it could handle City of Villains?)
This self-imposed exile has its upside, of course. I've completely cleaned out and sorted the bookcases, discovering some odd things along the way--we own three copies of Finn Family Moomintroll?--and I've conducted some highly valuable science experiments, like 'Which Will the Dog Choose, Vanilla Ice Cream or Bacon?'
I'll still be really relieved when the weather warms up, though.

Date: 2007-02-20 04:54 pm (UTC)I know, my dog has a sweet tooth. It's shocking.
When I played, I was on Kirin Tor...but by "played" I mean "sat watching my computer struggle and whirr and buzz if more than two moving objects were on the screen at once." It was teh suck.

Date: 2007-03-07 09:59 pm (UTC)Chocolates, yes! The ones I make, the fancy-schmancy ones I'm going to rampage through this weekend, or both?

Date: 2007-03-12 04:16 pm (UTC)Chocolate: While I am a HUGE fan of a fantastic rich creamy chocolate drink and chocolate mousse...I really do consider myself to be a Vanilla girl! I love a good chocolate covered vanilla thing, or a really good truffle, but I've never suffered from that traditional female Craving for chocolate as the panacea to all that ails me.

Date: 2007-03-12 10:18 pm (UTC)I'm mostly on AIM, mostly in the evenings (but if I know you'll be on during the day I can try to log on from work) .
Vanilla? Interesting! The only vanilla thingies I've made have been french vanilla bonbons (and oh, they were tricky), but now that you've mentioned it....hmm.

Date: 2007-03-13 02:09 am (UTC)Also, White Chocolate Cheesecake and White Chocolate Challalah (sp?) Bread Pudding. So I suppose I do use chocolate, just not REAL chocolate...
IM: I am on IM the same as on LJ. I'm on all day most days (unless I'm in a satellite office for work (I support all 14 counties in VT) and many evenings.
See you there!
