I am assuming, of course, that the silver hand is meant to replace the god's actual hand, here. A glove will always look like you're wearing a glove, unless it's firmly attached to a full sleeve -- the break between the glove and the rest of you would be really hard to hide, and it will never move like skin. (I'm also assuming the god did a good enough job that his silver hand is that realistic, of course.) Therefore, painting your own hand is the only way to make people say, "Dude, that guy has a silver hand!" not "What is he, Michael Jackson?"

Shave your hand and use liquid latex plus silver dusting powder on it.

I've got LiqLat in stock, but not silver. If you could get some silver coloring to mix with it, I've got a white base that would work.

Still means shaving your hand (or finding out what happens when you don't)

Oh, believe me, I know. (In a dark makeup room the bottle of hair white and the bottle of liquid latex look identical. That's all I'll say. Besides ouch.)

Having worn hand paint in the Cabaret, I can tell you beyond all shadow of a doubt, don't wear hand paint. It will end up everywhere, on you and others and anything you touch. Buy a glove if you can, or pain a glove with a kind of paint that will dry (I think spray paint will dry on most surfaces).

I said to buy a silver glove but if you can't find one then option B is shave your hand and paint it :)

I've had great luck with silver paint, personally.

But did it leave fingerprints the way Mare described? I've got the paint and can experiment with powder tonight (in between shaving and trying to find a candycane-ish costume)...ayiiee.

Sorry, I meant spray paint on a glove. Mare was talking about make-up on the skin. It may rub off a bit when it's fresh, but it definitely stops. You should see my silver sneakers!

I'd suggest painting a glove and then wearing it around outside, rubbing, picking things up, etc, until it stops shedding.

Obviously, removing your own natural hand and building a working silver hand to replace it is the only option. Step 1: Obtain immortality. After that, the rest is pretty easy.

I went as him last year. A rubber glove wrapped in tinfoil did the trick. sort of.

I reckon he's the god of science fiction.

You could go rummage in goodwill bins. They are likely to have one silver glove and on the cheap.

Remember those big Hulk fists that came out when the movie did? Paint one of those suckers silver and you're golden.

Ridiculous, but funny!

I said 'other', but what I meant was 'paint a glove' but paint a rubber glove! That way you get a metalic-colored naturally shiny hand.

...hmm, I'd vote for whatever is convenient and serves your purpose: paint or dye might not stay on if you have a lot of effort/time involved and it wears or sweats or kills you...

Maybe try a rubber glove and silver acrylic paint. You can get the gloves at Home Depot and you might be able to get the paint there...but you can get it at any craft/hobby store.

Note: You probably want to put the glove on and then paint it.
