oakenguyBack from the CT Faire, where I had a blast thanks in part to a large number of Pastimes folks running around, celebrating birthdays, clogging I-90 and going on to flummox the staff of Ruby Tuesdays.
At one point today I managed to fulfill a quest I've attempted but never managed in the last four or five faires I've attended--I bought a Scotch Egg. I'm very sad to report that it contains neither scotch nor Scotsmen. I mean, sure, the vendors will tell you it's a hardboiled egg coated in sausage and breadcrumbs and deep-fried...but how much harder could it be to boil an egg, coat it in sausage and breadcrumbs, deep-fry it, and make a little voice say "Crivens!" when you open it up?
