Actually, answering my own question, I believe he was with Alan Davies, Bill Bailey (there's someone actually NAMED Bill Bailey???), Jimmy Carr, and Rob Brydon.
Still sorting them out, but Alan Davies appears to be the one with flowing, very curly hair, who pulls the big W at the end.
ETA: just to finish the job:
Alan Davies: Curly-haired, "What do they say?! What do they say?!" and the big WHAT-ever at the end.
Bill Bailey: Thinning hair, looks like a pirate, far stage right.
Rob Brydon: looks like a fresh young thing right out of college, long face, doesn't get as much camera time as the others.
Jimmy Carr: He's the one who looks to smooth to be real, like he just came out of the box or belongs on the Truman Show. Started much of the singing and can clearly by funny with any given 2" square of his face alone.
I'm sure lots of people are extremely familiar with Quite Interesting and/or these people, but I wasn't so now I know.
