Mar. 23rd, 2003 08:23 pmWoo, what a weekend. I want to post about it all--about the King Arthur's rehearsal, the NERF party, the Fells and today's game--but I can barely keep my thoughts in my head. I feel like I'm moving through syrup (and no, not in the good way. Perverts.)
Every time I mention that Spring is here people wince and mention that they're not sure, we might see one more blizzard, yadda-ya. Nuh-uh. Can't they feel it? The ground is waking up, the geese are honking overhead night and day, Toby (aka Somerville's Gayest Chihuahua) is cruising male dogs with abandon, birds are singing different songs, friends are suddenly finding new possibilities (like Callunav and Juliansinger's new, much better apartment, and T's sudden move to New Zealand). Spring is fucking here, and any more snow we get will be from clouds that are lost and looking for home, like a shopping mall Santa on January 10th.

But there's some change that I just don't want to face. Like the slow exodus of all our most adventurous friends to an island on the far side of the planet. :(

Date: 2003-03-24 09:11 am (UTC)I'm not looking forward to it. When C&N moved last year, it was bad. When T goes, it will be worse. I don't have any notion at all of how badly my head will explode when S goes. Having spent the last twenty years of my life with him in close range and as a major emotional support mechanism... it's going to be... hard.
