I'm pleased to report that this morning, the bathroom mouse didn't actually collide with me on his way behind the sink. Unfortunately, this sighting means the encounter a few weeks ago wasn't just a fluke. (Yes, I realize that hoping he'd just stopped by overnight to get out of the cold and was planning to leave as soon as it warmed up outside was a longshot).

Another rehearsal tonight. I wish I was more confident about this whole thing. It's partly the clash of different parts of my personality--I don't want to be just a newbie, I want to excel and show all these experienced performers with their in-jokes and their BTDT attitudes that I'm bringing something to the table, that I can be funny and free-associative with the best of them. Annnnnnnnd at the same time I want to quietly observe them from the corner. Or better yet, from inside the Faire equivalent of a duck blind. (Which I'm picturing as looking something like a velveteen gazebo. Really tight around the middle.)

Really? I'm planning to use a Have-a-Heart trap, but wasn't sure where to let Mork go...if you'd like him/her/them, just give the word!

mork? :P

i'm very tempted. but then my cat might just eat it.

i could let it go in our backyard though, and maybe it would be far enough from your house that it wouldn't be able to find its way home :) and then i might have a special mousey friend in the gardens this spring.
