One of my private little woo-woo theories is that there's a point in your sleep cycle, like maybe around the 18.7% awake moment, where your mind goes unstuck in time and you get tiny little glimpses of the future. You almost never consciously remember them because they fade even faster than most other dreams. And that's what deja vu really is--your actual timeline catching up to the events you briefly saw, and then your conscious mind forgot.
The reason I mention this is so when, in 8 or 9 years, I mention attending a wedding where all the members of the wedding party were in normal street clothes but with prosthetics over their eyes and mouths so they looked totally faceless, you'll remind me of this post.

Date: 2009-02-06 01:22 pm (UTC)I certainly premember that wedding; on the plus side for you, this wedding actually took place sideways in time from here, so while you and I were/are at the wedding, the whole thing fits nicely in a tiny little spiral in the flow of existence. That is to say, it is over quickly. And none too soon - talk about bridezilla!
