Tonight over supper wellstar and I had a great time exchanging gossip about the local theater scene and making plans to rule the universe.

But that pales beside THIS: the trailer for Ponyo on the Cliff, the next Studio Ghibli film, is out! It's the story of a 5-year-old boy and his relationship with a goldfish princess who longs to become human. Even if you don't understand Japanese, you should be able to get most of this. (If you DO understand Japanese, *coughplastickittycough*, I'd LOVE your input):

I haven`t seen it. And my Japanese isn`t good enough to understand Miyazaki films. It`s hard enough with the subtitles ; )

It looks cute, but I haven`t heard much about it. I don`t think it was publicized all that much and may have already left the theaters.

Wow -- I love Miyazaki and want his man-babies, ever since I saw Princess Mononoke without ever having heard of Miyazaki or knowing what the movie was about.
