Whoo. Burnt out, overtired, and my throat is sore from shouting yesterday (for folks who don't know me well, this is a very rare thing).

It was a great weekend (even the dentist visit that kicked it off was good, surprisingly), but...I'm reading Billy Connolly's biography, and this morning on the walk to work I came across this description that really rang a bell: "Our on-stage experiences turned out to be very similar: a period of intense fear and panic followed by a heady surge of adrenaline, then a highly enjoyable rush of endorphins and finally, if all went well, a a powerful sense of validation. The good feelings would last for a few hours after the show, but in the morning there would be a sense of loss, an uncomfortable phsyiological experience of our bodies still being over-pumped with adrenaline, and torturous regrets about imperfections the night before."

So that's where I'm at right now: still twitching a little, and just not quite able to stop thinking about all the things I should have done, or should have done better, or should have done faster. Which means it probably wouldn't be wise to post more about FestEvil until the chemicals have burned through my system.

It was good to see you there, too!

As for the other bit of your comment...see, it's worrying about the enjoyment of others that gets me into this headspace! I know it's partly just biochemical and in 6 hours or so I'll be able to remember the good things, but that doesn't change the fact that, to name just one example, I played Superman and never once interacted with Superboy! And not nearly enough with Lois Lane! How is that possible?!

Well, think of the Justice League Unlimited show and comic series....really...when you have that many heroes together, do they really all end up together all the time? No....you may have a Black Canary/Wildcat episode or a Speedy/Green Arrow issue but not always.

Heh. But that's not all your fault! In those cases, Superboy decided to turn into Sarcasm Man (which worked out just fine from where I was standing), and nobody actually bothered to menace Lois. In both cases, if Lex Luthor had pursued either of his plots with them (and he usually does with at least one), you'd have had plenty of reason to interact with 'em. :)

Clearly, I just have to write evil Jimmy Olsen into the game. ~_^
