oakenguyAnother fun rehearsal. God, I love these people. I've never been with a group who relentlessly MST3Ks their script *while* rehearsing it before.
I had to make a decision about Tuesday--it's fight practice, it's my 'writing for performers' class, and I was invited to do another stand-up bit at All Asia. Drove me nuts for days trying to think of a way to do all three, but that's NOT gonna happen...finally I stopped and asked myself "Which of the three is the one where, if you don't attend, you might do something wrong three weeks from now and really hurt yourself or someone else?"
Sometimes it's all about knowing the right question to ask.
(And it's not just because learning new sword moves is the Kewlest Thing Ever. No. Really.)
Sleepy, groggy, yet caffeinated--Deb and I drove out to a friend's birthday/farewell party but U-turned when we got to the house and it looked empty. We thought about our options, and decided that since the universe had deprived us of birthday foods, it owed us cake! We found a Bertuccis', and...well...did you know they have a dessert sampler? Tiramisu, torte, and a strange two-layered espresso ice cream? YUM.
