The Colors of My Life
Apr. 1st, 2010 04:03 pmSo
kamianya tagged me with this...the idea is, comment here and I will give you a color. Then, in your journal, list ten things you love that are that color. She gave me brown.
Heh.
1. Chocolate. This is self-explanatory.
2. Soil. You can fold in mud and clay into this one. Especially this time of year, ohmigosh, when buds are sprouting and you can start to smell blossoms in the air and you can go outdoors without having to put on your own weight in protective clothing first, yay soil.
3. Tree bark. I like the way it looks, I like the way it feels, I like the way it smells, I even like the stickiness of sap on my hands.
4. My hair. (Though I have dyed it black from time to time, and considered other colors).
5. Coffee, the way I like it. (A very LIGHT brown.)
6. Since I walk back and forth to work each day--I pretty much walk EVERYWHERE, come to think of it--this is the color my skin's turned by late August.
7. The first car I ever owned, a Ford Torino named Harrison, was this color.
8. Erg, this is more difficult than I expected...a lot of my favorite animals come in brown, full or partial. Corgis, camels, yaks, antelopes, groundhogs, prairie dogs, toads, coyotes, musk oxen, moose. MOOSE.
9. Oh! It's half of the color scheme of House Vorkosigan, from one of my favorite series.
10. Root beer, beer, ale...a lot of my favorite beverages are this color. (But not Moxie. Moxie is as black as the dimension it once called its home.)
Phew!
