While I'm not doubting Oakenguy's observancey, I think it's that people in Boston are very strange. It brings to mind the time I saw a guy sitting outside of Au Bon Pain in Harvard Square, wearing a long trenchcoat, a fitted black hood, and a face mask decorated with the Stars & Stripes, reading a newspaper.

He was soooo creepy. I couldn't tell if it was a pro-war or anti-war statement. Or maybe he was just being a superhero. Who knows?

Because I saw a guy jogging in knee pants, suspenders, and a top hat the day before yesterday.

From the T train. I was on the T train, I mean, and saw him from the window; I don't think he was running away from the train in particular.
