May. 8th, 2003 09:05 amPayday + HMV's 40% off sale make for a happy Oaken. Though the store's been pillaged so heavily that some creativity was required.
Currently cued up on my stereo: Los Fabulosos Cadillacs (is there a word for Spanish-language ska? 'Skanish', maybe?), 'American Gothic: Bluegrass Songs of Death and Sorrow', the 'Bring it On' soundtrack, and Celtic remakes of old C&W tunes called 'Cowboy Ceilidh'.
My poor workstudies have no idea what's about to hit them.
In other news, much as I like the comic, the preview for the 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' movie makes it look like this year's 'Tomb Raider', if you know what I mean and I think you do. I think someone in Hollywood read one of Alan Moore's post-'From Hell' interviews where he said that he never sees movie versions of his works and could care less about them, and took him a bit too seriously.
