Ever meet someone online and like them, and then read some of their fiction and been like "ARRGH MY EYES MY EYES ARE BLEEDING" ? That's my situation right now with someone I met over at Yahoo.

Argh.

I should probably not even say anything.

No, no, someone needs to tell him that when you're writing fiction, breaking the text down into different paragraphs is a good thing.

It's even worse when the person is already an acquaintance of yours, already thinks the work is great, and is curious to hear how much you loved it. Well, um.. gee..

Ooo yeah, been there. And worse even than *that* is when it was a performance piece--most writing's big enough and familiar enough that I can come up with a compliment about an adjective somewhere, but I feel like I'm on such thin ice trying to talk about someone's music or dancing. "I really liked how you, uh, fell down? In that part with the, ah, the thumping?"
