So I'm dehydrated, sore, in desperate need of big heavy steel-toed boots, and there's a bruise on my butt from being spanked with a dagger.

It must be Fight Rehearsal time!

Things went pretty well...we worked out two fights, an early one with Ivanhoe (broadsword vs. broadsword) and the final one with Will Scarlet (broadsword vs. shortsword and dagger), and I've got the choreography basically there....all I have to do now is figure out how to NOT SUCK, and things will be good.

The good: I'm falling and staggering decently. Marion said she really liked my 'goofily intent' face.

The bad: I wasn't trying to make a goofy face! And, more worrisomely, I've been diagnosed with a case of Happy Feet--my balance is off, off, off. Hence the need for steel-toed boots. And, if those don't work, lead ones.

*sigh* It's my own fault, I know. After spending seven years living with a chihuahua-esque dog, I've been conditioned to think that the proper response to danger is skittering sideways.

I'm Dikken, one of the Norman guards. Sorta like a medieval Barney Fife, only more portly...which, on the bright side, means that I only have to get abused by Guy, not actually fight him!

Would it help your son feel better about going if he knew that when Christian thinks no audience members are around, he does *great* Powerpuff Girl impersonations?

Ok Dikken, I've told my son about the Powerpuff Girls impersonations and his response was "He must be MoJo JoJo"(lol) I can't win. But I am NOT missing my Robin Hood Festival this year. In my opinion it's the best one. Tell Chris to stop terrorizing the children.

Say, you weren't the family that went looking for Christian recently at the Ghosts & Gravestones tour, were you?

That would be us , the crazy Mother stalking the streets of Boston trying to find the man who terrorize her son.......My son really thinks he will feel better if he can get reassurance from Christian that he won't be mean to him. Christian has already been very understanding and nice to him. He made a point to be nice to him last year after my son told him he was scared. Then we traveled down to RI to Belcourt Castle for the Three Musketeer Festival and Chris again went out of him way to be nice. But he's still nervous. Oh well, I've done what I can.

LOL! I'm relieved--if it wasn't you, we'd have to consider founding a support group. We still might.

Are you the guy from "Ghosts and Gravestones"? Or dare I ask.....Have I become the topic of conversation??? And YES, a support group would be a good idea, I was considering having Chris pay for the therapy sessions!!!
