You know the one horror movie archetype Joss Whedon & co. didn't mine (unless they did something with it on 'Angel' that I missed)?

Something frozen in ice and awakened long, long after everyone/thing else of its kind had died. It's funny they never did anything with this, really.

Not that this would be an interesting idea for someone thinking up a character for the Buffy RPG or anything. Nope. Nuh-uh.

I have never done a larp and am not all that keen toyet,... butithought it might make a good side thing to be going on during my carnival of the dead circus wake

It's a fun 'kitchen sink' larp, which means that it's one of the ones where *no one* is what they seem to be, and half the game is spent trying to figure out what's really going on. Which can be really fun or really really confusing and frustrating, depending on the group of people you get. And spectators will be REALLY confused...but when has that ever been a bad thing?

Since part of the concept is that it's mostly stuff going on backstage at a circus while performances happen in the ring--and that at some point every player has to go into the ring and perform themelves--I'd be really interested in seeing what it looked like if folks with actual circus skills got involved.

I wrote the guy who inviented it,.. it isn't for sale yet but he offered to let me playtest it.

I think I would have to change the combat system sightly to fit the people I know so it is more showy and physical,.. (wrestlers and all)
I don't think peopel stopping to play cards n the middle of an interaction would make for good theater in the sense I am thinking.

But the plan is to have other acts during the party (if I can pull the damn thing together,. i have until late october,. but shit it is my first giant sized party,.. so I am a little wary)

But I think this could make for some good background performance and general ambiance at the big party carnival party thing.
