Well, it's another school year, and the department's swarming like a kicked anthill with the usual fun crises (example: we discovered YESTERDAY that one of our teachers just decided, spur of the moment, to stay in Spain instead of teaching this semester.)

As a result of this chaos, it wasn't really until yesterday evening that it hit me that my Faire performing season is over. I think it was when I looked at the car and realized I couldn't think of when I'd need to drive it next. No more late night trips up 93? I won't be seeing my 35 insane friends in a couple of days? We...we're DONE? What-what-WHAT??

Well, you found something to do with your summer, didn't you? :) Wasn't that what you were trying to decide, 'way back in the spring?

Now the question is: what do you do for the fall/winter? Doing NaNoWriMo again?

(And the answer to the question of when you can drive your car next: Pink House Moving Day. ;-) )

Ack--I'd be a lot better served, I think, if I *finish* last year's NaNoWriMo piece. And about six other things.

In fact, that's what my Fall's shaping up to be: a lot of writing, a few small performance/artsy things, and maybe learning fire spinning. :)

sadness..

It's so depressing that the Pastimes season is over and I have to wait until April for the KAF. I know there's the Halloween thing but that's to scary for the children.
Then to top it all off I found this little photo....

What Day Did This Happen???

I know what you mean...We definitely have to make sure to get large groups of us together over the season. I made so many new friends this spring and summer, I'd hate to not see folks for six months just because it's the Pastimes off-season.
And, you should come do Winterfest with us this February, for sure!

Meb Meb Meb!!

It was a fun faire--Paul let me sit on his lap and everything--but you were missed! Not only was there a soup reference in the script, but at one point I walked into the kitchen and found six cast members all saying "Eet ees vahry neece!" together.

Much more color commentary coming soon..and pics! So you can see the doublet that made Krista think of her grandmother's couch!
