Okay, who let the happy gas loose in Davis Square?

Here's what I saw during one trip to the bank:

1) A mom and four-year-old walking down the sidewalk in front of me. The little girl broke into a wild spazzy dance. After about three seconds the mom looked down, spotted this...and started dancing herself.

2) Seconds later, two *other* little girls running around the corner with an adult behind them. Just as she reached the traffic light, one of them blurted out "We're the luckiest girls in the whole wide WORLD!!", and then dashed into the Someday Cafe.

3) At the bank, I get my deposit envelope, and written on the back is "Hello! Have a good day!"

I mean, it's FUN, and I enjoy the conversations on the street with total strangers. It just feels a little like I woke up in some sort of Bizarro-Boston.

How perfect! I love those kind of moments-especially if a bunch happen over the course of a day or so.

And if I ever go the whole mommy route, I FULLY intend to be one of those kind of moms... completely willing to make an ass out of myself at most any time or place. Well I do it now, but I don't have any kids to embarrass, or join in with me. The kids that I play with/watch/interact... usually join right in- but it's not quite the same I'd imagine.

That's fabulous! The mom and her kid are even MORE charming than [livejournal.com profile] juliansinger's professor, who started dancing to the tune played by one of his student's cell phones. :)
