Last night was our last night of the Haunted Castle. There were some *big* differences between Saturday and Halloween night; many more cast members (including a Globe writer and her family, a LOT of Pastimes folks, and a 'psychic investigator who'd come up mostly to scout for ghosts--and who said she saw two during the first hour), many fewer drunks. We had a bigger crowd than I expected (900 people!), but it seemed sometimes like 90% of them were 13 and hyperventilating.

It was pretty remarkable...I'm maybe the 4th, 5th stop on the tour, and by the time they got to me some of our patrons were crying, trembling, clutching each other, incoherent--it was like the folks in the first row of a Justin Timberlake concert, only slightly older (and I had my shirt on).

Oh, and after five days of failed experiments, I finally found, with LauRen's help, the right combination of products to make my hair stand on end! It turned out to be two parts Gigahold Gel (which looks, feels and smells like banana yogurt), two parts BedHead Extreme Rocker spray, and one part Mehron Clown White applied directly to the hair. Stiff? You could've stuck memos on me last night.

Totally exhausted, yet sad it's over, at the same time.

Nah--with the coldness of the night and the fact that no one would be touching my hair, I figured I'd be safe. Especially since I wasn't sure if shampoo would get set makeup out of my hair, or whether I'd have to rub cold cream in and *then* shower, and....ack.

Gigahold washes out sooo much easier, you didnt mention that nice lady that was near passing out imploring her gf to turn back lol.
