I know, I'm a couple years behind the times, but I've just this week discovered mashups*! Wow. All my love of crossovers and strange juxtapositions, now in musical form.

In the past year there was a DJ at WRIU that would take requests for a 90 minute 6 degrees of separation mash up each week. I was impressed when he did mine, which was to go from Frankie Goes to Hollywood to Frank Zappa.

Yeah, someone had posted a link to a mashup of Mia's "Galang" and the Super Mario Brothers theme. Being so far out of touch, I thought that was actually the song, until I found the real Galang later. It's very catchy and you can download it from the "Cry on My Console" web page. So at least I know what one is now.

DJ Earworm is great. You have got to find a copy of Tainted Beyonce which is a mashup of Soft Cell and Beyonce Knowles. I got it from a guy at work and it is faboo.
