So I go on vacation for two days, thinking things'll be calm and quiet and no one will notice...and one of our professors DIES. Now I'm sitting here waiting for the Chair to arrive and tear me a new asshole for being out of touch during the last couple days.

Poor David. Such a stupid senseless accident. And his wife and kids SAW it happen. Fuckfuckfuck. I'm trying to avoid thinking about it. Fuck.

Ummm, you couldn't have known a professor was going to die. I really don't see why the Chair would yell at you. Sorry to hear about the professor. :(
